I don't know what everyone is waiting for. We are having fall sport sign ups right now! You can come in right now and register your kids for soccer, football, and volleyball. This is the first year that some of the junior highs will not have sports or are cutting kids from teams. It is always good to have a back up plan so they can build on their skills for the next season. There isn't a better way for your kids to build their skills than to play Y sports, where everyone gets to play and be part of the team! So sign up today! Don't wait.
And.....there is not better time to get back into your routine and get started back on the path to fitness and health. We have personal training packages for $100 right now.
If you aren't into personal training we have lots of fitness classes for every fitness level. All of our instructors are certified and will give you a great workout.
Don't forget Wednesday spin is back. Sheila only had 1 person today. GO JEN!
So drink plenty of water and stay away from high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup causes huge spikes in your blood sugar and causes cravings throughout the day. Staying hydrated helps to combat cravings.
Keep moving and make it happen at the Y!

Wow August is half over and the kids will be back in school soon!
I am starting to see some familiar faces returning now that summer is coming to an end.
It feels like fall is already upon us.
Well, good thing we have lots of classes to attend.
The new schedule will be out the week of August 24th.
We will be adding Wednesday spin back in to the mix.
We will have more Zumba classes.
Mindy will be teaching Step Monday Wednesday and Friday this fall.
Betsy is coming back to Cardio Sculpt on August 31st, after having had a baby! Baby Noah!
Out 4:30pm Step classes will return.
Remember, if class numbers are low, we can't keep the class on the schedule, so be sure to come as often as you can to support your favorite classes.
We have great certified instructors leading all the classes. If you haven't tried something new in awhile this is the time to.
Remember if you don't change up your workout about every 6-8 weeks you are likely to plateau and not see resutls which can lead to frustration and quitting.
So try something new or even just switch your strength training days for cardio days.

Don't worry! It is not January outside! It was just a freak hailstorm and it is over for now! So if this weather from above has put a damper on your outdoor workout, never fear the Y is always here!
Spin and Sculpt this evening at 5:30pm. Yes we are until 10pm tonight!
We have 4 new treadmills, cardio classes, and new cybex weight equipment!
There is plenty to do here!
It is actually time to start thinking about that fall time workout. I know it's August, but it's Klamath Falls, and we all know that winter could be here tomorrow! (Sometimes mother nature forgets fall around here and goes right to snow!)
So the fall schedule will be out in two weeks.
What's new?
